Revving up for Veganmofo III

It's that time of year again.  Veganmofo III is starting up.  I participated last year for the first time and am excited to join in again.  I'm not quite sure where I'm going to start but I'm sure something will come to me.  Maybe I'll try out recipes from other blogs or veganize childhood favorites.  Either way, we'll have fun.  And don't just hang out here, there are tons of folks joining in this year.  Go to   Veganmofo III  and ignore your day job or don't go to sleep, it'll be worth it.


Muggie Mudd's in SF

The family took a trip up north to San Francisco. Our old stomping grounds. My husband and I were loving being back in SF. We've missed it a lot. Of course we hit up Lucky Creation in Chinatown and Herbivore in the Western Addition. But I wanted to find new places to fall in love with.

First on my list was Maggie Mudd's. I had read about it in magazines and on blogs. I knew I needed to see what everyone was raving about. And since our 8 year old son shares my love for sweets, I knew he was going to love this adventure as well.

Once in the store, Henry was a little overwhelmed at the choices. He didn't know where to start but he knew he wanted it BIG! He wanted to taste as many toppings as possible. So he ended up with the Big Bowl. Two huge scoops of ice cream, chocolate syrup, vegan marshmallow sauce, vegan whipping cream, sprinkles, cherries all put into a vegan waffle bowl. It was fantastic!! Henry and I ate every last bit.

Then we went to lunch! On vacation, dessert comes first, right?
